  2. Too busy for coyotes? I don’t believe that. Downtown Toronto is full of them. Although there are no roadrunners around here, they’ve been picking off small dogs and such.

    Well, all I can tell you is the area was open enough they could go other places and eat field mice and quail and such, but they stayed clear of our town. Local wildlife authorities at the national parks in the area (i.e., rangers) told us kids on tour the towns were too busy for ’em.

  4. Is it fear or self preservation? Sometimes fear is justified, even if it isn’t rational.

    Well, now that you say that, I guess the problem is, for jack rabbits, there isn’t any difference. Everything looks life-threatening.
