I have the joy of having not one, not two, but three budding photographers in the house.
My loving spouse takes some pretty good photos. She seems to have a natural eye for it. She instinctively seems to find the right angle, the right framing, the right focal point…all without a lick of formal (or even informal) training. Just…eyeballing it.
My son’s photos you saw on my last post; he’s got a good eye too, and he’s not afraid to use his legs to get things just right on his picture. I really thought some of the stuff he did was great.
But now, I want to show you what MiniNess can do!
Check out her handiwork!
She’s always been a big fan of pinecones:
(The focus isn’t necessarily her fault; the cameras are inexpensive point-‘n’-shoot jobbies, with no manual viewfinder, so in strong sunlight they can’t see the view screen, and if the camera didn’t focus, they won’t know until later.)
I don’t know how she got that creamy white look to this one; it almost looks like an Instagram filter, doesn’t it? Nice work baby girl!
I don’t know what this was originally, but I’m going to add it to my collection of bokeh backgrounds for Photoshop!
I like this one a lot too:
They love those little purple wildflowers.
I love how she framed this shot. It’s like she understood the basics of the Rule of Thirds somehow. (No, I’ve never taught her. Heck, I didn’t even know it until I got my DSLR.)
And finally, my personal favorite, a rainy day shot I’d love to use on a book cover some day, if I can ever figure out how. Or, y’know, write again.

Hope you liked them as much as I did.
See ya next time!
