We had a plethora of decorations goin’ this weekend, both inside AND out. Of course, the Lord outdid us on beauty and wonder, but we had fun doing our part too.
Naturally, you can’t make an omelet without breaking some eggs, and you can’t decorate without first making a big mess.
It gets worse before it gets better sometimes.
You can’t do things without the proper equipment, though, so…
…with Ma in her kerchief…
…and I in my cap…(okay, not really…it’s my son…)
…and baby girl at the ready…
…we got down to business.
First, we get the tree out of its box and check the lights.
So far, so good!
And then, gradually, things start taking shape.
Get the garland on first. The kids like this part; there’s a lot of walking in circles.
Then came time to hang the ornaments. I don’t have any pictures of that part, for two reasons. First, the process was far shorter this year than in previous years (more on that in another post, I guess). Second, I helped, so my hands were busy. Sorry.
But things turned out all right in the end.
I hope you had an awesome weekend too!
