Well, I couldn’t have been any more right while still being wrong about what’s happening with our ATR Coordinator at work.
She’s made it formal and announced she’ll be departing our business group for a Warehouse Manager (or possibly supervisor) position in a location down in the Lone Star state. Her last day with us is December 5, although technically she’s starting with them on December 1. My boss asked for a month’s transition time and they granted it, so December 5 it is.
We do not currently have a person to fill her role yet, however, the requisition is in. We have to publicly post the job here in our location so others can go for it, but we hope to promote someone from within. My boss actually has a specific person in mind, and if she goes for it, that will be interesting indeed.
In the meanwhile, I also discovered the departing person (remember, we call her J) is also engaged as of Halloween weekend. VERY intriguing news indeed, since when she met her fiance (or is it fiancee?) he was embroiled in a divorce wherein children were involved. I can’t imagine the custody part is over, but what do I know? It’s not like she tells me her secrets.
At any rate, congratulations to her for both her engagement and her promotion within the company. VERY cool on both counts.
And now I wait to see what will happen. The plan is to have a butt in her chair before she leaves. Time will show. We also have to hear back from corporate about whether we’ve provided enough information for a replacement to be approved.
